Our Approach

We believe movement and dance are first and foremost,
tools for wellbeing, self expression and freedom. We
celebrate personal growth, rather than external
expectations. Our classes are designed to inspire self
belief, being in the present moment, peace, and a love
for health and fitness first, while providing training to
explore performance if desired.
We create safe, welcoming, and inspiring spaces where
children and adults of all abilities can embrace the joy
of creative movement whether in structured, or free
movement classes.
Here, everyone is invited to dance for themselves, learn
at their own pace, and discover the lasting benefits of
movement and dance for mind, body and soul.

Meet Our Founder..

– Jasmine

Greetings! I started ballet training at the age of four, at a small dance in Wimbledon- later branching out to Jazz/Modern and Tap dance.

I discovered a love for teaching from an early age, while assisting with the younger children’s dance classes. I went on to train professionally in Performing Arts at a theatre college in Essex, before building a career across television, theatre and choreography, performing at venues including Sadler’s Wells, The O2 Arena and the Royal Opera House. Performing in FELA! at the National Theatre (where I worked with an idol- Bill T Jones) became a particularly significant point in my artistic journey, deepening my connection to African dance, rhythm, culture and identity. I continued to develop my practice through dance teacher training and went on to study Dance Movement Psychotherapy while teaching Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, African Dance and, Hip Hop to children and adults across schools and studios in the UK.

Today, I centre my work around physical nourishment, confidence and
mindfulness, with wellbeing and connection at the heart of what I do, and performance secondary. This philosophy inspired me to create Body For Mind School of Movement — a space where movement can nourish the body, support the mind and help people grow with confidence, connection and purpose.

Life is too short to not feel confident, fit in body and present, enjoying a
mindset that feels as free as a bird!
